... remember, the city has changed tremendously and will change even more, because this year there are many works everywhere, ready for the big event of the 2012 Olympic Games.
It's amazing how many people there are in every street, every corner where a crowd of Londoners pub having a beer or wine. In Soho at all times there is a continuous bustle of tourists, but also in Chinatown, Carnaby Street, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, Camden Town, Regent Street, Oxford Street. Department stores such as Harrods and Selfridges are really big, huge in them can find anything you're looking for or eating food of any continent and specialty.
Museums generally are free, just ask for voluntary donations at the door. We can visit the British Museum, Natural History Museum, the Museum of Arts Decoritas, Tate Gallery, the Museum Madamme Tussaud, the National Gallery, Science Museum, National Portrait Gallery, the Tate Modern. Typical places to visit are the Abbey of Westminster, St Paul's Cathedral, the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London.
London is the European city with more green spaces available to citizens. Among its major parks are Kensington Gardens, St. James Park, Hyde Park and Regents Park.
Is difficult to define British cooking. Maybe the dishes are Fish & Chips (especially pubs) the Roast Beef, pork pies and sausages English. But do not worry about finding good cheap food. There are thousands of sites ready to eat at all hours and all international specialty. London is perhaps the city that has food outlets at major tourist sites.
It is true that it rains often, but with good weather, London is a wonderful city to stroll the streets or take a cruise on the Thames
